Welcome to Travel School. We're Brian and Kim and back in 2012 we sold our possessions and left our jobs in order to fulfill a lifelong dream of traveling the world. Since then we've traveled to 20+ countries on 5 continents and we're still traveling today.

We've learned to navigate the often complicated road of living abroad long-term and we understand the barriers that keep many people from traveling in the first place. We created Travel School to teach future travelers everything they need to know to embark on their big trip with confidence. Travel has been a transforming and life affirming experience for us and it's our goal to help others reach their travel dreams.

About Travel School

Travel School is an online e-course designed for anyone who wants to travel long-term. Whether your plans include a career break, a gap year, travel in retirement or living on the road as a digital nomad, Travel School will walk you step-by-step through the process of planning and executing long-term travel.

We know that preparing for lengthy travel can be a daunting task. You likely have big questions, like how much money you'll need, and practical questions, like how you'll file taxes abroad. And you have a hundred smaller questions: where to find affordable accommodations on the road, how to find volunteer opportunities and how to keep in touch with family and friends while you're gone.

During the 4 Modules of the e-course, we'll teach you everything you need to know to prepare for long-term travel. If you're ready to see the world, this program will get you out the door and on the road with confidence.

What You'll Learn in Travel School

The video based e-course will walk you through the process of turning your goal of long-term travel into reality. From the moment you make the decision to travel to the moment you get on the plane, we'll walk you through the steps you'll need to take to make your long-term travel goals happen. At the end of the course you'll be prepared to travel the world long-term.

The e-course is divided into four modules: Saving & Managing Your Money, Pre-Trip Preparation, The Heart Part, and Life on the Road.

And as a Travel School member you'll have lifetime access to the Travel School website, module workbooks, and the private Travel School Facebook group.

Find Out What People Are Saying About Travel School

This course provides so much great information. It eliminated the amount of research I needed to do into subjects like the cost of long term travel, what to look for in banks and credit cards, preparing to file taxes from outside the U.S. and tips for getting rid of stuff. All of this comes to you in bite size unit videos that average about 10 minutes each. -Jen M.

I wish this course existed before my RTW trip! I would heartily endorse the Travel e-course to anyone considering taking an extended trip. Full of detailed information, it’s evident that Kim and Brian have spent hours doing the research so that you don’t have to. With examples from their own planning, it’s easy to see the big picture on how to prepare and embark on the trip of a lifetime. -Rhonda D.

I just retired with the hope of many travels ahead. Brian has a gift of taking many ideas and pulling them together in a simple and manageable way. He answered questions I had not yet asked. The most interesting information for me was the Round-The-World air ticket. I was not familiar with such a program and Brian has taken complex information and put it into a short, easy-to-follow video. -Laura C.
